SDJBA Scholarships

The San Diego Jewish Bar Association’s scholarship program invests in the next generation of Jewish legal professionals by supporting students as they pursue their education, interests, and paths within the legal community.

We believe that supporting Jewish students also means encouraging them to engage with the issues and communities they care about, give back, pursue meaningful areas of the law, and bring their own experiences and perspectives into the legal profession.

Through scholarships recognizing areas such as community service, leadership, environmental stewardship, and other forms of engagement, SDJBA seeks to give students opportunities to explore their interests while developing as attorneys and community leaders.

Ultimately, our goal is to help Jewish students build meaningful careers, strengthen their connection to community, and use their legal education to make a positive contribution to the world around them.

Brown & Winters Environmental Stewardship Scholarship

Brown & Winters Environmental Stewardship Scholarship

We are excited to announce that applications are now open for the Brown & Winters Environmental Stewardship Scholarship, established through SDJBA's Student Scholarship Initiative.

Brown & Winters is a San Diego-based law firm with a longstanding environmental law practice and a commitment to supporting students and the broader community. Through this scholarship, Brown & Winters and SDJBA hope to recognize and encourage the next generation of legal professionals who value environmental stewardship.

The $1,000 scholarship is open to current SDJBA members who are current law students or recent law school graduates. Applicants do not need to intend to practice environmental law. Instead, applicants are invited to share how they have incorporated, or hope to incorporate, environmental stewardship into their personal, academic, professional, or community life.
